Jen Taylor, A.R.N.P.
In 2010, I moved to South Florida from my home state of Alabama. I decided to make this big move because I thought it would be a good idea to move somewhere new and exciting. At first, I was extremely nervous, especially since I would move away from all of my family and friends. However, it was not long before I fell in love with South Florida. Currently, I reside in the Fort Lauderdale area. I have one dog "Maggie" and three cats "Fancy, Mister and Bru".
Soon after the move to Hollywood, I began working at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. I worked there for two years while finishing my Master's at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I completed practicum hours at Personal Care Pediatrics with Dr. Francine Magaletti and Penny Buccholz, ARNP in 2013. I also completed hours at Pediatric Associates. After completing my Master's degree, I practiced at Children's Medical Center for almost two years.
I have been a Pediatric nurse for nine and a half years. It was practically sheer luck that I began working with children. After nursing school, I was not sure which area of nursing to begin. I applied for two jobs and was immediately offered a Registered Nurse position on a pediatric floor. I did not hesitate and took the job! Now, I cannot imagine practicing in any other specialty.
Some days are challenging, but every day is rewarding. I love the feeling of making children and their families feel comfortable while providing them with the best quality care.
In my spare time, I enjoy working out, bicycling, travelling and going to the beach. I am also a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
